The Department of Chemistry at Wesleyan University is currently considering applications for spring admission to the Ph.D. program. The program has approximately 20 graduate students and 10 faculty members with active research programs spanning multiple areas such as drug design, high-resolution spectroscopy, materials chemistry and nanoscience, theoretical chemistry, molecular biophysics, natural product synthesis, and organometallic chemistry. The size of the program ensures that each student knows every faculty member and allows the department to set up a customized program of study for each student. Upon completion of their Ph.D. our graduates have a strong track record of success obtaining positions as postdocs, faculty, and in industry.
The application window for spring admission to the graduate program is open now and will close on September 30th, 2017. Application materials are submitted online and there is no application fee. Each application must include:
• Official transcripts for undergraduate and any graduate studies
• Three letters of recommendation
• A statement of purpose
• GRE scores and, for international students, TOEFL scores.
